Western Rail Archive was created to preserve the people, railroads, and places that built the American West.

Through photography, research, historical documentation, and digital preservation, this project aims to create a lasting record of railroad history for future generations.

The archive will focus on railroads, stations, locations, infrastructure, and operations across the western United States, with an initial emphasis on California and the LOSSAN Corridor.
